Wells Weekender :: Labor Day Weekend in Maine

It always feels like I am returning to familiarity whenever I visit New England: the trees, the people, the roads never appear to change.  This morning's early sunrise walk was perfect for reflection and a bit of fresh New England air.  Then, it was particularly special when the train on the way home stopped by Dover and Durham, and I passed through even more memorable tracks.

I only spent a day and a half in Wells but managed to snap away and pack in quite a bit.  The weather was perfect allowing us to do so many things  - we ate lobster rolls, laid on the beach, dipped in the water, prepared a burgers and hot dogs dinner, ate late night homemade local ice cream (orange pineapple), baked blueberry muffins, and purchased raspberry jam at the local farm.

Thank you to Marissa for allowing us to stay at her family's home!
